Another area of business was bedroom closet organizers.  When we had finished the huge closets in the master bedrooms we were usually retained to help out with the other bedrooms.  This was easy, compared with the master bedroom.  The master bedroom was the most important, and it was kind of a showcase.  If the owners were satisfied with the master bedroom then we could almost count on getting at least one more room to do.  It was a rare house where we only did one closet.  It got to the point that we had to end up taking off from our regular jobs to do what was supposed to be our part time business.  We had to be more creative with these organizers, as sometimes the closets were for young kids, sometimes for teenagers and sometimes, believe it or not, adult children living at home.  We had several suppliers that we usually went to, and every so often we actually did a custom job, with a mix and match of kits and sometimes things that we designed yourself.  It was a fun job.  We made a good amount of money.  But the one thing we did miss was our peace and quiet.  More and more subdivisions and houses were being built.
