SISTER HAS GOOD TASTE

I don’t ever mind that my sister has everything in the world. She is ten years older than I am and naturally my parents’ favorite. She has two children and an amazing house. It’s furnished with the nicest furniture and it’s large and spacious. Every time I go to her house I love to breathe in the rich creamy scent of her home as I step through the door. One day I noticed that there was something different. I looked everywhere to spot it out; on the walls and on the ceiling, and then my eyes casually glanced down at the floor. That was it! I saw the most beautiful Oriental rug in Chicago.  It was like a work of art! When I asked my sister where she bought it she told me that this is the only carpet left in every mall in all of Illinois. I was amazed and I have to admit that this was one of the only times that I felt a pang of jealousy towards my sister. It was really wrong of me at the time to think like that, because it would’ve been okay for me to be envious of her. But no, I was 100 percent jealous, and I wanted that item instead of her. I then feigned happiness for her and I left to my own home two blocks away. I know that when I get older I will also have my own things and I can make the decision alone of what my own home would look like. As of right now I am just thankful that I can get some good ideas from my sister.
